Your Role:  

The Head of FX Vehicle Engineering will lead the engineering team responsible for the design, development, and optimization of innovative vehicle systems and technologies. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in automotive engineering, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure that FX vehicle programs meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Strategy:

- Lead and manage the FX vehicle engineering team, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals.

- Develop and implement engineering strategies to enhance vehicle performance, safety, and sustainability.

- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering department.

2. Project Management:

- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of FX vehicle engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of engineering processes.

3. Technical Oversight:

- Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and validation plans for FX vehicle programs.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout the engineering process.

- Lead the development and implementation of advanced vehicle technologies, including electric and autonomous systems.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

- Act as the primary point of contact for all engineering-related inquiries within FX vehicle programs.

- Present engineering updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.

- Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to integrate cutting-edge technologies into vehicle designs.

5. Resource Management:

- Manage engineering budgets and resources effectively to maximize productivity and efficiency.

- Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing within the team.

 

Required skills and qualifications:

· Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

· Experience:

- More than 15 years of experience in automotive engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Proven track record of managing complex vehicle engineering projects from concept to production.

· Skills:

- Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, powertrains, and electrical systems.

- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in automotive engineering.

- Excellent project management and organizational skills.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. 

· Technical Proficiency:

- Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD, simulation software).

- Knowledge of emerging automotive technologies (e.g., electric vehicles, autonomous driving).
